The Bedrin Organization has bought Club Haven shopping center at Country Club and Peace Haven roads from Club Haven Investments Co. LLC for $7 million.
The sale of the 82,617-square-foot center closed Thursday. Club Haven Investments is controlled by Hal McCoy HBM Management, based in Pinehurst, N.C. Club Haven sits on 7.25 acres. It was renovated in 2001 and 2010.
The shopping center is anchored by an Ollie’s Bargain Outlet. Other tenants are Tru Taekwando, A Cleaner World, Burn Bootcamp, China Wok, Kiro Restaurant, Dancer’s Edge, Ten Little Monkeys, Edward Jones, 2Fierce Dancewear, Champney, TJ’s Deli, TJ’s Ice Cream, C.Cravens & Co., Harmony Day Spa, and Play It Again Sports.
TJ’s Deli plans to expand by 1,091 square feet in vacant space next door in the center.
This purchase, gives the Bedrin Organization, a family-owned commercial real-estate company based in Glen Rock, N.J., 10 properties in the Triad. Last year, the company bought the Gate City Shopping Center and Hunt Village at Sedgefield, both in Greensboro.
Garret Bedrin, who oversees acquisitions, leasing and investor relations for the Bedrin Organization, said that Club Haven benefits by its proximity to the Brookberry Farm community, high traffic counts on Country Club Road and its tenant mix.
“This acquisition is a further sign of our commitment to the Piedmont Triad community,” said Bedrin. “We plan to continue searching out properties in Winston-Salem, Greensboro and High Point and the surrounding areas that represent solid investments for our company, while at the same time, providing places for local businesses to thrive and grow.”
The purchase marks the first time that the Bedrin Organization has been a partner for investment purposes with Kohlberg Ventures Realty Capital LLC (KVRC), a privately held real-estate investment management company based in New York.
“This new strategic partnership with Bedrin is significant because it will open up capital for Bedrin and allow us to target opportunities in the greater Piedmont Triad area,” said Karim Demirdache, who leads KVRC’s investment team.
