The first Empowering You event of 2019 was held just outside of Charlotte, North Carolina at The Pinnacle Institute of Cosmetology last week, boasting over 50 attendees from our North Carolina locations. SalonCentric and Redken partnered with Salons by JC to bring a wealth of knowledge to the suite owners, concierges, and franchisees in attendance. Subjects discussed at the workshop were social media marketing best practices, how to give yourself a $20,000 raise without changing your prices, and how to pay your rent with retail.

“This class was awesome!  We had a lot of takeaways on how to increase our income behind the chair, including how to sell retail,” said Missy Armentrout from Salons by JC High Point. “One of the insights that stood out to me was how important it is to be engaged and stay engaged with posting and responding to comments.”

In addition to great education and fantastic product goody bags, the Redken folks made the day engaging and fun with interactive activities, upbeat music and relatable stories from their experiences in the industry.  Let’s face it, in the beauty industry we’ve seen it all, and it feels good to be reminded that we’re all in this together whether we’ve been doing it for 3 years or 30 years.

Jennifer Nealy of Hair Favor at Salons by JC Greensboro has been in the business for over 25 years and found herself very engaged in the class.  “I really loved this class today!  It gave me lots of insight on social media marketing and new ways to increase my finances which is always a plus.  I learned some really nice styling tips too, so it was all around a great day.  I’m really thankful for y’all putting on this class and I hope to attend more!”
